Geoff is a Board Member of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences and joined Bionow in 2007. Prior to this Geoff was founder and Technical Director of Biorite Ltd and Advanced Biomedical Ltd both spin-out companies from the University of Manchester. Geoff has a degree in Biochemistry and a PhD from the School of Pharmacy, University of Manchester where he began his career undertaking postdoctoral research.

Diane originally joined the Bionow team in February 2006 when she managed a formal programme of strategic relationship management with the major companies in the sector. Diane has a BSc (Hons) degree and PhD in Physics from the University of Liverpool and a strong background in technical manufacturing and operational management.

Mary completed a degree in Chemistry at the University of Liverpool. She began her career with Perkin Elmer and completed 24 years in commercial roles selling high-value instrumentation into the life science sector. Mary then returned to Liverpool and joined MerseyBio developing productive relationships with Merseyside‘s life sciences business community and supporting business development and technology transfer activities for Liverpool John Moores’ University and the University of Liverpool. In 2007 Mary took on the role of biomedical business adviser at Business Link North West providing support to biomedical businesses across the region. Mary joined Bionow in 2012 and is based at our Daresbury office.

Claire is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and joined Bionow in February 2013, bringing with her a wealth of experience in business development, sales and marketing.   Claire is responsible for recruiting new member companies in Yorkshire and fully engaging existing Members to maximise their Bionow member-benefits.  Claire’s experience in the life science sector includes a Business Development Manager role for Pharmalicensing, and more recently Director of Commercial Development for Wildwood Ventures.  Claire is based at  Science City York.

Helen's focus is the planning and management of Bionow's marketing activities, organisation of events, supporting our membership and securing partnerships with businesses in the sector. Helen has qualifications in business management and originally joined Bionow in October 2006. In her previous roles Helen worked within the sales division of Pirelli Cables focusing primarily on the Middle East market and was also an Office Manager for several years for an events company.

Mike has worked in the life science industry for over 20 years in a range of senior and board level commercial and business roles for ICI, Zeneca, Chirex, and Avecia. Trained as a microbiologist Mike has an extensive knowledge of all aspects of commercialisation of science including strategy and acquisitions, marketing and sales in sectors covering biotechnology, electronic and fine chemicals. Mike is based in the Newcastle office.
