Selective Finance for Investment in England (SFIE) is designed for businesses that are looking at the possibility of investing in an Assisted Area, but need financial help to go ahead. Support, which is discretionary, normally takes the form of a grant, or occasionally a loan. This support helps fund new investment projects that lead to long-term improvements in productivity, skills and employment. For more details click here.

Bionow Overseas Ambassador Support for Travel (BOAST). As part of our international marketing strategy for the NW biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and healthcare cluster, Bionow enlists key representatives of core biotech companies and key bioscience academics (where they are speakers at an event) to act as ambassadors for the region. These discretionary contracts are designed to use our indigenous companies to market the biotech excellence in the NW. Where BOASTs are available for an event, core companies will be informed via the Bionow Newsletter. Please note: uninvited solicitations for travel grants are not accepted under this scheme.
