Manchester Nano Company sees value soar

Nanoco - a spin-out company from the University of Manchester - is now worth £90m following its first week of share trading on AIM. It completed a reverse takeover into a cash shell in February 2009, valuing it at £38m. Nanoco develops fluorescent semi-conducting materials called quantum dots, which are used in lighting solar energy and life sciences.
