UMIC's Biotechnology Incubators achieve Leading-Edge standard in UKBI Inspire Assessment
UMIC has recently undergone an assessment against the UKBI Inspire monitoring, development and accreditation process, and is delighted to report it achieved a Leading Edge standard in recognition of its business incubation activities, reflecting ten years of hard work and significant sustained successes with our tenants. Martino Picardo, UMIC's Managing Director, said "We are absolutely delighted to have been accredited at this level. We have been able to maintain a steady balance of deal-flow (University and external spin outs and start-ups), across a broad and diverse selection of company types in the Bio-Health sector. "
Being accredited byInspireallows UMIC to prove the impact of the environment, identify strengths and weakness, and develop detailed action plans and strategic input to ensure that our business support infrastructure provides the right environment for sustainable growth and development.
Peter Harman, UKBI's Chief Executive said: "UKBI are delighted to recognise the good work that Manchester's Bioscience Incubator is doing in supporting and growing new biotech businesses. The Inspire accredited status recognises the quality of the business support being offered within the centre and we look forward to continuing our work with UMIC to ensure that the centre remains at the forefront of business support provision in the UK."
UMIC's Inspire status reflects UMIC's commitment to grow innovative businesses. UMIC's biotechnology incubators truly are an ideal place to start and grow businesses.
