Nowgen - The Northwest Genetics Knowledge Park
Nowgen is one of six Genetics Knowledge Parks (GKPs) funded by the Departments of Health and Trade & Industry that have been established across the UK to ensure that the outcomes of human genetics research are successfully applied.
Bionow was integral in bringing the partners together to develop, and secure funding from DTI and DoH for, the project. In addition, Bionow championed a successful bid to the Northwest Regional Development Agency and the European Regional Development Fund to secure funding for the £3.5M Nowgen Building in Manchester, which opened in January 2005.
