Wolfson Molecular Imaging Centre (WMIC)
It is the mission of the MMIC to realise the full potential of PET based Molecular Imaging for translation in oncology and brain disorders.
Work in the centre is focused on realising the full potential of PET based molecular imaging for bridging the gap between laboratory science and clinical medicine.
The Northwest Regional Development Agency, through it's biotech support group, Bionow has approved a £0.5m grant towards equipment in the centre, to enable the centre to assist companies gain greater knowledge of drug targeting in oncology and neuroscience treatments.
