The event is not only a great opportunity to present to the life science and biomedical community but also gives companies a unique chance to hear about the latest technologies and innovations available from some of the leading companies in the North.
The event will benefit the following companies:
- Developers of technology, products and expertise in the life science and biomedical sector
- Suppliers of technology into the life science and biomedical sector
- Users of products, technology & expertise from life science and biomedical companies
The value of rapid pitching and networking activities is of real value to help to support the growth of businesses. In particular it helps to identify business development opportunities, source business-critical expertise and development of collaborative routes to market. The aim of the event is to integrate the networks within the sector and create new opportunities for all.
The event will start with registration at 4.30 pm - 5:00pm Welcome, and business pitches (each pitch to last 90 seconds max) will begin at 5:00 pm.
Pizza & Refreshments will be available from 5.30pm, alongside an agenda-free networking evening.
This provides opportunities for key people from companies working in, or with, the life sciences sector to network and socialise with their peers in an informal setting over a slice or two. The event is expected to close at 6.30 pm.

Travel
The 3M BIC is situated at the bottom of the University campus on Firth Street, a 5-minute-walk from the town centre and 10-15-minute-walk from Huddersfield’s railway and bus stations.
Parking
Please note that the car park at the front of the building is owned by the University of Huddersfield, therefore parking is not available until after 5:15pm.
There are several car parks within a 5-minute-walk from the centre, we recommend the NCP Colne Road West that charges 95p per hour. Find out more here.
There are two spaces at the front of the building and one at the rear for blue badges, which are unreserved and available on a first-come-first-served basis.
