TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BUSINESS
For a company to be considered a Member or Premium Member of Bionow all membership fees must be paid within 30 days of the invoice date. In the case of non-payment of fees, Bionow reserves the right suspend membership. Bionow reserves the right to suspend or refuse membership at its sole discretion.
Bionow does not warrant or guarantee the services or products of any Member company, sponsoring company or preferred partner and can not accept any liability under any circumstance. Being a Member of Bionow does not imply Bionow’s endorsement of a company’s product or service and we may take action against any Member we believe is abusing their membership status of Bionow. Such action can be whatever Bionow or its advisors deem appropriate including, but not limited to, suspension or cancellation of membership.
Membership is purchased in advance, in periods of 12 months. If a Member company terminates its membership during the 12 months subscription period, then no portion of the membership fee shall be refunded except at the sole discretion of Bionow.
Substitutions: Substitutions will be accepted in all cases without incurring any additional charges. All substitute delegates must be confirmed in writing to Bionow at least one full working day before the event. To be included on delegate lists, delegate names including those of substitute delegates must be advised at least one calendar week ahead of the event.
Cancellations and non-attendance: All cancellations will be subject to the following charges (unless specified elsewhere in booking conditions)
Bionow Events and Conferences: Cancellation more than 10 working days before the event - 20% charge
Annual Biomedical Awards Dinner: Cancellation more than 6 weeks before the event - 20% charge
Full costs will be charged for cancellations received after the deadlines shown above and for non-attendance on the day. All cancellations should be made in writing to Bionow. We will confirm in writing that you have cancelled your place.
Registrations: Registrations are accepted on a first-come-first-served basis. A waiting list will be maintained if the capacity of the event is exceeded. Bionow reserves the right to decline registrations without giving a reason.
Payment: Terms are strictly 30 days from the invoice date or 7 days (a calendar week) before the start of the event, whichever date is the earliest. Failure to pay within these terms will entitle Bionow to refuse entry to or use of any space at an event.
Fees: All our prices are subject to VAT at the prevailing UK rate. Accommodation is not included in any of our prices – delegates are responsible for booking and paying for their own accommodation.
Cancellation by Bionow: Bionow reserves the right to cancel a training course, workshop, conference, networking or any other events for any reason prior to the event date. We will contact you as soon as possible to tell you about the cancellation. If you have already paid a fee then we will issue a full refund. Bionow will not be liable for any other costs relating to attending the event.
Amendments to event programmes: Sometimes we will need to make amendments to our programmes or to our speakers. We reserve the right to do so.
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Privacy & Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR):
Personal data collected from our customers via membership and event registration will be processed by Bionow for the purpose of delivery of membership services and event delegate administration under the lawful basis of Legitimate Interest. Data may also be disclosed to partners for co-hosted jointly run events and third parties offering partnering services for Bionow events. Current and prior customers are included in the Bionow mailing list and Bionow makes contact with customers by email, telephone or letter with details of future events and services organised or promoted by Bionow which may be of interest to you.
When you register to attend an event, there is an option to opt out of being included on the delegate list that will be made generally available to all those who attend the event. If you do not wish to receive marketing communications from Bionow you can opt-out at any time.
Limitation of liability: Except in respect of death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Bionow, we shall not be liable by reason of any representation (unless fraudulent) or implied warranty condition or other term, or any duty at common law or under the express terms of this agreement, for any loss of profit or any indirect special or consequential loss, cost expenses or other claims for compensation. The entire liability of Bionow to you under or in connection with your booking and event attendance shall not exceed the sum of the booking value.
Information Provision: From time to time, Bionow may communicate information and guidance to Members and non-Members. Communication channels of such information include, but are not limited to, Bionow’s website, Bionow’s LinkedIn group, Twitter, verbal or email communications with Bionow staff and presentations at events.
Any such information or guidance is provided in good faith and no liability can be accepted nor any warranty given in respect of the information or guidance. Any action (or inaction) on this information is solely the responsibility of the receiving party.
Applicable Law: These terms and conditions shall be governed by the law of England & Wales.
