We have an exciting opportunity for proactive Analysts to join the Innovation Observatory £16M initiative, funded by the National Institute for Health Care Research, based at Newcastle University with an academic home in the Population Health Sciences Institute.

You will be working with a team of analysts and researchers identifying new emerging health technologies, recording key information to enable trend analysis and individual technology horizon scanning outputs, including dashboards.

We bring together information specialists, data scientists, text mining, horizon scanning and evidence synthesis researchers to provide essential intelligence to several national agencies. Our outputs help them make informed decisions about how healthcare should be provided in the future.

You will hold a bachelors degree in health services research, public health, information science, health technology assessment, biomedical sciences, pharmacology or other related subject.  

Along with experience in online searching, preferably in the field of health care, you will have excellent communication skills since an integral part of this role will be to liaise with a wider multidisciplinary team of data analysts and specialists, and external stakeholders.
